I need to output into PDF format a Word Doc formatted to 6" X 9" page size.  Before generating PDF I went to Options/Document Properties/DP 2 and entered a custom paper size of 432 X 684 (6X9) and then generated PDF file.

But the output is displayed on an 8.5 X 11 background (and Acrobat properties says it's and 8.5 X 11 format).  The actual text is the correct size, but the PDF page size appears wrong.

Help! (and thanks)

I'm having the same problem, I tried setting the paper size to C5 which is slightly longer that 6x9, but it still prints out on  8 1/2 x 11 size. any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sounds very similar to my problem ....I set it to custom of 298 width and 312 height  (about 4" x 4.3")  but the pdf file created is 8.26" x 11.69" - almost the same size as your incorrect pages.

And my little "pages" are correctly sized just centred from the top of the larger page.

I'd love to know what I'm doing wrong.  Help someone!!

be sure to select 'postscript custom page size' in the 'scale to paper size' printing dialog box of ms word

I was experiencing the same problem printing from MS Publisher.

I was able to resolve it by the following:

1. Make sure your paper size is correct or user defined in the MS application (File>Page Setup -or- Page Layout>Size)

2. While in your Office application, open the "printer selection" window (File>Print -or- Ctrl-P).

3. Make sure PDFCreator is selected as your printer.

4. Click on "Properties".

5. In the "PDFCreator Document Properties" window, click on "Advanced".

6. Click on "Paper Size" and either choose your paper size, or select "Postscript Custom Page Size".  If you select Custom Page Size, a new window will open where you define your paper size, units of measure, paper feed direction, and print offsets relative to paper feed direction.

This got my 5.5x8.5" project to print correctly on 5.5x8.5" paper, rather than centering it in the middle of 8.5x11.0" paper.

Hope this helps!
