Continues to want Dell Resource CD

I found a forum question on this topic but I get a "page not found" when I try to view it.
Why does PDFCreator continue to want my resource CD every couple of days? I get some error message (it has disappeared since I used the CD but it will be back in a day or so).
I have Win XP Pro SP3 and pdfcreator ver 0.8.1 and it works great when it works.
